There’s plenty of construction work around the city. To help keep our streets vibrant and promote local creativity, we are looking for artworks to grace hoardings across the city.
Hoardings are the temporary structures that surround construction sites. They vary in size, but are usually around 2.4 metres tall, so your work will be a noticeable feature in the city landscape. This callout is open to artists, designers and small collectives of 5 members and less.
We’re looking for designs that are bold, flexible and engage with the public. Your chosen medium could be visual or graphic art, photography or even text-based. Check out some examples below.
Our plan is to build a ‘bank’ of selected artworks that will be printed on hoardings when construction projects arise. Installation periods will vary, but your work could appear up to 20 times over two years.

Applications close 5pm AEST on 19 September. Selected artists will be notified by 21 October. Apply now
